About Us

The Middle Georgia Suns Organization was founded by Christopher Burley in the spring of 2006 as a travel basketball team which is based in Laurens County. This Organization was formed to give the youth an avenue to gain more knowledge and skill to be able to compete in the game of basketball at a higher level. The vision was to have a program with players and teams at multiple grade/age levels who could go across the nation and compete. This organization is based on building character, structure, accountability, and knowledge of the game of basketball. The Idea is to bring coaches together who have a great knowledge of the game who could bring the best training to the youth while being mentors and keeping them on a path to success both on and off the court. The Middle Georgia Suns Basketball organization enables coaches to take time during practice to teach and lecture on such things as: Positive Attitudes, Personal Commitment, Teamwork, Determination, Respect, Honesty, Academics Success, Leadership and much more. We have grown over the years and continue to grow with the support of our communities. Our goal is to train the youth the RIGHT way to play the game of basketball. The Middle Georgia Suns Basketball Organization strives to make all players walk away from our program, not only better basketball players, but also a better person within our community.
